Selvi › Udhaar recovery
Get your udhaar back — without the awkward conversation
Most kirana shops are owed more than they realise. It is written in a notebook, spread over months, and asking for it feels rude. Selvi keeps the book and writes the message for you.
How it works
- Bill as udhaar. Say or tap "udhaar" at checkout and the balance is recorded against that customer.
- Selvi keeps the running total. Ask "யாருக்கு ரொம்ப பாக்கி?" and it names them, with amounts.
- Send a polite reminder. Selvi drafts it in Tamil, warm rather than demanding. You read it, then send on WhatsApp with one tap.
Why the wording matters
In a village shop the customer is a neighbour you will see tomorrow. A cold "PAYMENT DUE" message costs you the relationship and often the money too. Selvi's reminders are written the way you would actually say it — respectful, unhurried, and naming the exact amount so there is no confusion.
What Selvi will never do
- Never sends a message on its own. You approve every one.
- Never shares customer phone numbers with anyone.
- Never adds interest or late fees.
